Using Canthion

Canthion ("we", "us") measures facial proportions and skin appearance from photographs you supply, compares them with published population data, and summarises the non-surgical options the research supports. By using the site or buying a report you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Only upload photos of yourself, or of someone who has given you permission. Do not use Canthion to judge, rank or harass other people, and do not copy, resell, scrape or reverse-engineer the service or its reference tables.

We may improve, change or withdraw features. A report you have paid for stays available on the device or account it was unlocked on for as long as the service runs.

Not medical advice

Canthion is not a medical device, is not run by doctors, and does not give medical, dermatological, surgical, dental, psychological or nutritional advice. Nothing in a report is a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Where a report mentions a clinical procedure, it describes it in general terms from the published literature and tells you to see a licensed professional. Remarks about facial fullness or weight are visual descriptions, not a health assessment. Do not start, stop or change any treatment because of a report.

AI mock-ups

A Complete report includes pictures of the plan's grooming drawn on your own photo. They are illustrations, not measurements and not promises. They are made by a generative image model (currently OpenAI's) from written instructions that describe achievable, non-surgical changes and ask the model to keep your features and bone structure as they are. Image models are imperfect: a picture can drift from what was asked, and none of them predicts how you will look after any product, routine or procedure.

By buying a Complete report you agree that a crop of your front photo is sent, through our server, to the image provider to draw these pictures, as set out in the privacy policy. Please do not use a mock-up as the basis for a medical or cosmetic-procedure decision.

Scores and what they mean

Scores, grades and percentiles describe where measured proportions sit against reference data. They are not a judgement of your worth and do not predict how any particular person will see you: roughly 40% of how anyone rates a face is personal to them. Every value carries the uncertainty printed beside it. If thinking about your appearance is causing you distress, please talk to someone you trust or a clinician; crisis lines are at the foot of every page. We may decline to provide the service where it appears to be causing harm.

Age

You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use Canthion or buy a report. Reports must not be made for, or given to, anyone under 18.

No refunds

Every sale is final. The free scan measures your own photo and shows you exactly what the report contains before you pay. The Complete report is digital content delivered in full the moment payment clears, so there is nothing to return. By buying, you ask for the report to be delivered immediately and accept that, once it has been, you cannot cancel the purchase or get your money back, including where a law would otherwise give you a cooling-off period for digital content.

The only money we send back is money taken in error: a duplicate charge, or a payment that did not unlock a report because of a fault on our side that we cannot fix. Write to us from the address you paid with and it goes back to the original payment method.

Gifts and referrals

Gifts. A gift purchase gives you a single-use code that unlocks one report. You send the code; we do not contact the recipient. Codes do not expire and, like every purchase, are non-refundable. The age rule applies to the person receiving it.

Referral codes. Every report has a code. A friend who finishes a free scan with it opens one locked section of their own report free, and the owner of a free report opens one more section of theirs for each friend. A code counts once per person and once per device, cannot be used on yourself, has no cash value, and stops after 25 uses. We may cancel codes that are being abused.

Privacy

Every measurement is taken in your browser. Your photo leaves your device only on a Complete report, where a crop is sent to draw the AI mock-ups. We never see your card, never sell your data, and delete what we hold on request. The full detail, including how long each thing is kept, is in the privacy policy.

© Canthion. The site, report designs, illustrations, text and compiled reference tables are ours. Your photos remain yours, and a report is for the personal use of the person it describes. Face detection uses Google's MediaPipe Face Landmarker (Apache-2.0), hosted by us. Reference data is transcribed from the anthropometric literature cited on each measurement page. Other names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to describe; no affiliation is implied.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". We do not promise that any measurement is accurate beyond its stated uncertainty, that the reference data suits your ancestry, or that any suggestion will produce a result. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, and where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits any right that cannot be limited by law.
