Facial analysis from one photo, with the working shown

Canthion is a facial analysis report built from a single front photograph. It is measured in your browser, compared with published norms, and the method behind every number is printed on the page.

Landmarks
478 points found on your face, in your browser. The photograph is never uploaded.
Proportions
24 taken from those points: canthal tilt, facial thirds and fifths, eye spacing, nose and jaw width, midface ratios and facial symmetry. Each is compared with anthropometric norms for your sex and reference group.
Skin
Read from the same photograph: redness, texture, spots, dark circles, shine and evenness of tone.
Precision
Every value carries an error bar and a grade from A to F. Nothing here is a guess.
Free
A full facial harmony read on your own photo, with no account and no upload.
Complete
Adds the score out of 100, your face shape, the masculinity–femininity axis, mock-ups of the recommended grooming drawn on your own photo, and a plan graded by the strength of its evidence.

Arriving from a forum or a rating app? Read the honest version of looksmaxxing, take an attractiveness test that shows its working, or see why the golden ratio face test reports conformity figures from measured populations rather than a phi score.

The $150 report, for $59.

Subscription consultation reports charge around $150 a year for this kind of measurement. Here it runs on one photo, in your browser, and it costs nothing to start.

Six things nothing else does

What decides whether a number about your face means anything.

01 The same photo gives the same number

Geometry comes from the landmarks; skin, colour, hair and outline come from the pixels, and every number says which. Upload the same picture twice and the report is identical, to three decimals.

Scoring apps re-roll: the same photo comes back with a different number.
02 Compared to people who look like you

You pick the reference population and every proportion is graded against its norms, not against one imported ideal. The same jaw reads differently depending on who you are being compared with.

A single global "ideal face" is what everything else grades you against.
03 You see it on your own face

The recommended hair, brows, facial hair, skin and framing rendered onto your own photograph, side by side with where you are now.

Everywhere else you get a number and a list of adjectives.
04 Your report in seconds

The measuring finishes while you are still on the page. The plan, the grades and the mock-ups are there the moment you unlock.

A written consultation is days of waiting, sometimes weeks.
05 $59 once, and it is yours

One payment, no account required, no renewal. Come back to the same report whenever you like.

Everything else in this category is a subscription that keeps charging.
06 Measured on your device

Detection and every measurement run in your browser; nothing is uploaded to measure you. The one step that uses your photo is the AI mock-ups in the paid report, where a crop is sent to be drawn on. Exactly what goes where.

The alternatives upload your face to be measured, and keep it.

Questions

Is my photo uploaded?
Not to be measured. Landmark detection, every measurement, the skin analysis and the report are computed in your browser, and the free scan uploads nothing. The one exception is the paid Complete report: a crop of your front photo is sent to an image model to draw your AI mock-ups, and nothing else goes with it. The full detail is here.
How is the score built?
Every proportion is scored on its distance from the optimum for your reference group (the population mean, shifted where the rating literature prefers a direction), then graded A–F. The overall number weights harmony 40%, skin 30%, leanness and definition 15%, symmetry 15% — because that is roughly how much each moves how faces are rated, and because three of the four can change. The construction is printed on the report; nothing is hidden behind the number.
Will it tell me the truth?
Plainly. If your alar base is wide for your reference group, the report says so, with the number, the error bar and what the evidence says you can do about it. It will not flatter you.
How is this different from a paid consultation report?
It is measured rather than assessed. The same landmarks, ratios, norms, score, dimorphism axis, face shape and protocol — but computed, so the same photo always returns the same numbers, every value carries an error bar with its source printed beside it, and every angle you upload is measured rather than decorating the page. Then it renders the plan onto your own face so you can see it before you act on it. It finishes in seconds and costs one payment. Full comparison here.
Is this medical advice?
No. It is descriptive measurement plus a literature-graded summary of what has evidence. Anything clinical is described neutrally, never brand-named, always with "discuss with a licensed provider." See terms.

All it takes is one photo

One front photograph. 478 landmarks and 58 measurements, each with its own error bar, computed in your browser in about 30 seconds. Nothing is uploaded.
